i have it on good authority that Beck is trying to get BF5 to open for his
upcoming east coast tour, in addition to the stadium dates, which may explain
why BF5 haven't yet confirmed east coast headlining dates. Beck is also
trying to get Sean Lennon. although i'm not really in favour of BF5 being
relegated to opening for someone else, there's noone better than Beck to open
for.

Are any BFF Videos officially for sale anywhere? A 5-song videotape and
their live concert video footage are *VERY MUCH DESIRED* items to have for
purchase at their web site.
Ben, if you're reading this, a reasonably-priced video would make a lot of
fans happy!
Thanks,
Thomas
P.S. Ben, You absolutely SMOKE on keys and songwriting, thanks for bringing
a world of talent to the pop music gendre, and playing the hell out the
piano like it was MEANT to be played.

AUSSIES!!!!
Does ANYONE know of any shows taped that include the Amateur Lovers?
I am under the impression they opened for BF5 on a few dates and would
LOVE to hear them live.
EVERYONE ELSE!!!
Next time you get a chance, take a listen to Amateur Lovers. They only
have one CD so far but it's fine, fine fare. Big, fun, rich POP. And any
Jellyfish fans that haven't bought this yet are COMPLETELY missing out.
Listen to tracks 5 and 12 and you'll know what I mean.

I was surfing the official page, which stated that BFF will be playing
the Kiss 108 concert in Boston May 30th.
Thats not good. Thats the local top 40 station, that also plays shitty
stuff like "Kiss the Rain" and that makes me sad.
Sadly, I feel that this summer BFF will be everywhere, and unfortunately,
I wont be seeing them.
Couldnt even get tickets for the staduim show..:(
Sadly,

Hey people,
I was just talking to John Linnell of They Might Be Giants, and he told
me that John Flansburgh (also of TMBG) just finished directing the video
for BF5's latest single, "Song For The Dumped." I've heard the NBP live
version played on the radio, but I think the WEAEA version is the one
being released. Any one know?
later.

Hi everybody, hope this post will be more intelligent than the last one
(sorry).
Well, about one month ago, i lent WAEA to a friend and she gave it back
to me all scratched so last friday i went to the Virgin Megastore to buy
a new one. I heard that they realeased a new version without the speech
and stuffs but i had the luck i found the old version, just like the one
i had before... What a luck! Well, now I have 2 WAEA albums : )
And I noticed that before, they were classified under "Misc B." But now,
they have their own label: "Ben Folds Five". I dont understand because
they're still not known here. Is it a sign that they're soon going to be
famous here and that we'll hear "Brick" on the radio like anywhere else
? Dunno ...
Another thing: I found the "One angry Dwarf" single and bought it and i
hope to import some more soon... But i'd like to know what's on the
other singles. Anyone has a track listing of all the other existing
single, that would interest me a lot ..
Thanks a lot,
Guillaume, the french BFF fan ; )

You know, peace, love, and understanding. (Okay, so that was kinda dumb...)
Anyway, I am proud to say that I read every single one of the lovely Magical
Armchairs that settle in my e-mailbox, and the whole selling out thing has got
me rolling ("with laughter", not "joints") ...I can't remember if anyone has
mentioned this before, but to the old fans who are whining, albeit some more
eloquently than others, perhaps it's time to dust off that old self-titled Ben
Folds Five album and kindly direct yourselves to track #6. "Underground". My
personal favorite song (for some selfish reasons, I have to admit--Gnance
knows what I mean!) is the ultimate irony to anyone whining about the band
making it big...I'm also reminded of Cake's "Rock And Roll Lifestyle", the
lyric about buying the t-shirt "that proves you were there, that you heard of
them first".
But I still love everyone! And where's Atlanta on the tour itinerary? That's
a hurtful mistake right there. Ouch.
Toodles!
Sara
