Great.....I think I'm actually a little ashamed that some BF5 fans got
organized and actually spent energy so we could bring swear words to the
masses. Stupid song should never have been released as a single anyway...

First of all, and I'm really sorry about this HTML crap, but can someone
tell me info about BFF being on the H.O.R.D.E. line up, I haven't heard
anything about them on it.
Second of all, what was that post yesterday about BFF breaking up!!! I
don't know if it was a joke, if it was it was pretty lame, but can someone
tell me the scoop on that?!
Thanks,
:)MaRiE:)
(and for that person who said my post was red, what the heck are you
talking about?!!)
One more thing, I just want to express how much it blows that BFF aren't
coming to Florida! Sucks majorly!!:(

Subject: road rage as caused by a dithering idiot dj
Just got back from seeing an awesome new band..... Emma Peel Advocates.
Shameless plug but check them out!
Anyways, the reason for writing. As I'm driving back, I flip on the radio
and hear the beginning of Brick. Smile forms on my face (which, considering
these past few days is a miracle... but I digress). Then stupid dj speaks.
Smile vanishes from my face. He says something to the effect that this is Ben
Folds Five and they sound like every other band he's ever heard. Woop de doo.
Furthermore, he says that Brick is on their latest album which is ironically a
greatest hits. Ironic he feels because this band will be nothing but a one-
hit-wonder. he can smell it. then he proceeds to laugh. so he says, we
might as well listen to them as they enjoy their 15 minutes of fame. WHATEVER
AND EVER AMEN!
Needless to say, I went into a serious case of road rage. What a
dithering idiot to say that! For those of you all from Ohio, this is *hot
101.1 from Canton (bfe). Call, picket, write hate mail, launch rotten packets
of mustard (can mustard rot?), n'importe quoi. Just let them know how
grotesquely stupid they are!
Thank you for reading my babble.

Hey People!
I was reading the Drum Media today and this is what was written:
"Ben Folds Five will be playing in Japan in August though it's not yet
confirmed, the scuttlebutt is that they just might be able to squeeze in a
visit to our shores around that time"
Wouldn't that be just the BEST, the GREATEST!!! I really do hope they do
come down.
It was funny cos Brick was played on the radio like 6.15 this morning while
I was in the process of trying to wake up and I thought the dj said they
were coming out but I think he was talking about another band. I guess I
should wake up when the alarm goes off instead of hitting the snooze
button. Anyway, I came across the article and thought maybe the dj was
atlking about BFF.
Keep our fingers crossed fellow Aussies!
Have a good one!

Ben Folds Five's management office confirms that the band has NOT broken
up. In fact, they are at Duke University tonight looking forward to the
tour getting underway.
Also, the inaccuracies in the Detroit News article are not unusual for
that newspaper. Even though the article may have been written by a
non-staffer, it still gets past an editor (hopefully, a music writer)
before it goes in the paper. Since the labor dispute started at the News
and Free Press nearly three years ago, most of the talented writers who
went on strike and were subsequently locked-out by newspaper management
have found other jobs or have not been called back, and were illegally
replaced by inexperienced writers who consistently get the facts messed
up.

Hey everyone,
I was just listening to the song "Monkey" [song #11] on the Counting Crows
1996 "Recovering the Satellites" CD and at 2min 06sec there is a lyric that
says(and it's printed in the liner notes as well)
"Got nowhere but home to go
got Ben Folds on my radio right now"
Pretty cool, eh? That made my day. It's a good CD by the way.

first posting.
Here in Lexington, KY there was a big debate over whether or not to "edit"
SFTD.
For the first two weeks, they played the unedited, but then the program
director got in the way. A couple of DJ's convinced the PD that if they could
get enough petitions signed they could play the unedited version, but
unfortunately it was such an unrealistic number, and no one hear had heard of
anything besides "Brick". So, they didn't get it, and now basically the
entire song is "beeped" out. No "bitch", no "fuck", and it's even a bad edit
that covers the word before and after each of those, so in reality what we
have to listen to is -- well, nothing. That's why radio sucks, right? I'm
seeing BFF in Cincy on May 19, and then again before Beck on June 1 in
Cleveland at Blossom. If anyone wants to meet up, then e-mail privately
please.
As for the five favs:
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Barenaked Ladies
They Might Be Giants
Afghan Whigs
