Hello all!! This is my first post to this wonderful thing we call the
armchair. I have been a huge BFF fan for three years. Anyway, I was simply
wondering if anyone was going to the show on May 20 with the Foo Fighters in
Indianapolis. My seats suck, but I would still love to meet any of you.
(Besides I need someone to wait around with after the show-- you know,
autographs and the like) So, if you are or happen to have good seats that you
are willing to get rid of, E-mail me. Finally, I guess I list my favorite
musicians other than BFF. Here goes:
in no particular order-
1. Dave Matthews Band
2. Lindsey Buckingham
3. John Lennon
4. Billy Joel
5. Kula Shaker
6. Spacehog
7. James Taylor
Hope to hear from you-------Noelle

And just when I was starting to really respect the absence of personal
attacks on this issue.
>Because silly people don't like silly words, I guess.
>If this is wrong, then you must be the life of the party.....
"How can someone be fun if he won't swear?" Puh-leeze.
I make my living doing comedy so please don't pretend to know anything
about me or how "FUN" I may or may not be. As amazing as this may seem,
for 27 years I have been enjoying a very "fun" life and doing it with
very little swearing.
>Why should radio listeners hear the song with certain words silenced
out?
I believe the intent is to try to curb the growing use of obscenities and
the dumbing down of society.
Obviously I am in the minority here in my feelings about the song and
swearing in general, and that's fine, it's much easier to go along with
the flow then set up a dam.
Happy Dam,
michigan joe

<Okay, there's the essence of the problem I have with the song. To me it's
not a good way of expressing emotions, it is a LAZY way of expressing
emotions. There are so many people who think swearing and having strong
emotions go hand in hand. Thus swear words have become adjectives, verbs,
etc>
Ok, about the whole SFTD thing. Well, I think part of the reason the curses
might be in there, even if it wasn't really intended for this, might be that,
the message of the song will only get across to certain people (and this isn't
a bad thing, either) if its expressed through a medium such as cursing. Know
what I mean, or am I not making any sense?

Hah, I thought you were serious at first about your 5 fave being Hanson, the
Spice Girls, Puff Daddy, along with BF5. I was thinking..um, well, that's
different. :)

in answer to your question...no, no mosh pits...listen to the music.. is it
moshy-type music? i think not...there wasn't even any warning signs about mosh
pits and they even put those up when i went to see tonic, k's choice, and
verve pipe which obviously would not incite mosh pits...so ya know, the five
is def. not big with the mosh pits...

R.I.P. SFTD debate...
by all means, please continue posting your opinions, just mention it in
the subject so folks like me can sift past it if we choose :-)
to make both people who read this, yet only listen to SFTD for the "bad"
words, happy: "Fuck"..."Shit"..."Goddamn"
now that you've got your fill, back to the music, k folks?
like it, don't, most likely you (being anyone who listens to the boys)
already have an opinion that will not easily be changed by a post on the
Armchair; accept it, move on, deal :-)
<ahem>
Thank you!
oh, anyone who records BFF at HoB in New Orleans and is willing to trade,
share, be nice, whatever, please e-mail me privately.
