I couldn't help but noticing when someone listed AGENTS OF GOOD
ROOTS in their top five band list.. I gotta say "Thank God I'm not the
only one who likes the band!!!" Has anybosdy else out their heard them /
of them? If not, you should definitely check out their new albumn, One
by One, or their previous, Straightaround

Also, I recently picked up the import Brick single (Smoke kicks
ass, as does the personal fav, Kate) and the BOWCCL single w/ Dr. Pyser &
Champaign Supernova.. If anybody needs / wants copies of these and is
willing to trade anything (posters, sheet music, bootlegs) of BFF or any
of the other bands I listed, ket me know..

Um...NO! Not for us 5'2" shortys who dont particularly want to be mowed
over by 6'4" 200 lbs guys who are drunk off their ass and decide to ram
into each other spewing drawfs like me out of the way into the nearest
solid object (usually another 6'4" 200 lb guy who looks at you as if to say
"Why is this little puke running into me?" ) It's NOT fun or good for me,
but hell to see BFF I'd even tolerate it. :)

Jaki

I completely agree! I'm 5 feet tall... and hey, to be able to tolerate it
to see BFF is kinda absurd... you wouldn't be able to even see them either
way, either the tall people are in front of you, or you're knocked out on
the floor!

Hey,
Any armchair peeps gonna be at the June 6th SPAC show? We should
organize a gettogether. That's assuming I go, but hey, try anyway.

Later,

OK, now this is a rare occasion. I can somehow see both sides of this
argument. I think what Mr Michigan Joe is saying is that cursing is not a
vital part of life, and that bands don't need to swear to be popular (look
at the Beatles, and Crowded House - except on one occasion). I am inclined
to agree with him, and definitely on the fact that there is no need for it
in the daytime. It does sicken me to see young, as in 10-11 years old
young, swearing naturally. Of course the fact that this song does involve
swearing will 'impress' those with weak minds - a couple of my mates have
heard the song, listened to the start, stated "This is poor", then heard
the "F*** you too" and "bitch" bits, and gone "hey, cool." This is
disappointing - they don't listen to the lyrics, only the words. I can see
why some people are distressed that this tune may attract the "wrong"
crowd, but c'est la vie. However, this is not to say that I do not enjoy
the song. The language Darren has used clearly indicates the vindictiveness
and bitterness he felt at the time - I'm sure most of us have felt it at
one point or another.

So, I would like to make it clear that I don't want BFF to stop swearing in
their tunes - it is a part of their music. It'd be like Oasis not rhyming
everything with "sheeeeeiinnnnaahhh" - although that is not a bad thing :
). Just remember, "If you have to swear to get you point across, some
people won't listen."

Cheers

Luke

Am I the only one who always hears Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra
playing "Battle...", when Letterman goes into an ad-break? Seems to happen
pretty frequently, almost once a day. Cracker's "Low" too.

Hey y'all:
This is gonna' be a bit weird b/c my fave shows are spread out over two
very different regions of the United States, but here goes anyways. My 5
favorite concerts:

1) Ben Fold's Five at Deep Ellum Live Dallas, Texas.
2) All of the Centro-Matic shows I've been to combined.
3) Shara opening for Centro-Matic in Denton, TX (now that Centro-Matic has
left
DFW, they are my fave local band)
4) Lillith Fair '97 Hartford, CT. (I especially liked the "feminist
bullshit" from Paula
Cole. If you don't like it, take it as a joke and at least appreciate
her excellent
     composing talents. Sheesh.)
5) Giacomo Gates at Koffee? in New Haven, CT. (hey! I sang backup for him
once
and all Jaz is good Jazz.)

Normally I dig small venues rather than the larger places which is why some of
you probably don't recognize where or who I'm talking about.
Just thought I'd say my little piece.

Hello all,

Tonight is going to be the last chance anyone can get files off the Audio
Archive. It's going to be down awhile. I am going home from school for the
summer, and many of the files are on my computer here at school, so I won't
have any permanent connection to the internet. I will put the page back up
after I work on it a while, but not many files will be available. So, while
you can, login to the website (or directly to my FTP):
