Yeah, that was great how Ben Fold's mother was on Mother's Cut, but since
when do they play a song called "One Angry Dwarf and 100 Solemn Faces"!

That was really cool how Ben's mother was on there. The clips from
there videos that they showed were really cool. But the lst I heard it
was "One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces" not "One Angry Dwarf and 100
Solemn Faces". Someone please correct me if I have been misinformed
about the name of that song. (a little humor)

I think I read something in the armchair about a concert in Atlanta on
June 14th, but it was not official yet or something. Is there going to
be a concert and if so, when will tickets be going on sale?

This is so great!
They showed the Underground vid, the Uncle Walter vid (which is SO
funny!), Battle of who could care less, ONE ANGRY DWARF, and Brick..
I've been waiting all day to see this.

It rocked. My second show - I think I liked it better than the first only
because I knew the songs much better. A different crowd from the February
Paslace show - younger, perhaps? I'm not sure. Definitely more
enthusiastic - lots of jumping and dancing, complete with Beavis and
Butthead signs galore. A few people left after Superdrag (loud and okay,
not very exciting, though the bassist had an impressive afro), but very
few left after Brick that I saw. No moshing! But some shoving - notably
by two really short girls who could jump really high. Altogether a great
crowd, though not a full house - myabe only 1500 for a venue that holds
3000. ben had a great yellow-green shirt on, and Robert a red cowboy
shirt, tucked in! to his jeans and sporting a Texas-sized belt buckle on
his belt. Darren had a simple green shirt unremarkable except that it
really showed his sweat. I have no idea what the official set list was,
but what they played:
One Angry Dwarf segueing into Underground (minus "cool in school" parts
like Vegas)
Selfless, Cold, and Composed
Eddie Walker
Philosophy
Emaline
Steven's with a little drawn out ending by Ben
jam/Dig Robert's shirt
Fair
Brick
Tom & Mary
Alice Childress
Air (great - though I'm curious to see how it fits into Godzilla)
Raindrops (ben got the words right this time)
Battle of Who could care less (robert talked about filming the video in
los angeles)
Video
Smoke (for Bronwyn, who I think stuck a note on the piano)
SFTD
encore:
Evaporated
Julianne w/salsa (again for someone who snuck a note onto the piano)
no Kate :( all in all a fairly different set than February.
Ben also dedicated part of the song to Leo's new godchild, who he was
leaving early to go see (as soon as he fixed the piano feed to the amp)
I have a tape if anyone's interested. I have very little in the way of
boots, so whatever you have, I probably don't have.
I'll let you know how it compares to San Diego Monday night!
