Thinking i should share.

The two best harmonies IMHO are the downs in eddie
walker and when they hit the word fair in fair: "All
is fair, all is fair in love" gotta love it

got my tix for the sydney show at the enmore.

Kristen, that is the right song and it was by, i
think and please correct me if im wrong, the flaming
lips.
BFF did a cover of it for the loungeapalooza cd. it
kicks ass. Oh by the way, any other aussies absolutly
love the "to hale and bacharach" cd. Gotta love
lounge music.

im off

Hey, Kristen, I bet you didn't know you were going to have your opinion

Greetings from the windy city!

I had to throw in my 2 cents about harmonizing in the car. My roommate and I
do it constantly to pretty much any song on the radio. However, BF5 is a big
favorite. In fact, just today, we had quite the rockin version of "Steven's
Last night" going on at a stoplight. (Best harmonizing part in the song is
during the music interlude where they sing "ba ba ba ba") I'm sure people
were staring, but dammit, it just makes you feel so good! You'll never go
back to singing by yourself again!!

"She's a Brick and I'm drowning slowly", "One Time"
"Up the coast and I'm heading nowhere" , "Two Times"

HA ha ha ha...
the fugees doing "brick"!
now that's comedy

PS--Eddie Walker "down..down..." harmony is definately the most
beautiful and powerful of the harmonies....

<<I was interested to hear that Toby-boy and his bro perform BF5
harmonies in their car. Does anybody else re-enact great Bf5
harmonies ?>>

I do this too, but it's just me, I don't have anybody else to really perform
their harmonies with. But it sounds really great when their singing and I
just add to the harmony.

Oh, and that music in smoke is not really irish sounding. It's just
melodica sounding to me. I love smoke, such a great song lyrically and
musically. I love it when they perform smoke live and Ben plays the
melodica and the piano at the same time.

BTW...If anybody out there has an RCA sattelite dish, you might have channel
500 it's got something on it called "In Tune"...or something like that.
Every week people vote for their fav. artist of the week. At the end of the
month the take all of the artists of the week and they pick the artist of
the month. WELL...(most of you sense what's coming now)May's picks were
Tamia, Aretha Franklin, BF5, Lisa Loeb, and Elton John. Of course BEN FOLDS
FIVE won...yaaaaa!! Anyway, I just thought that was cool because they beat
out "legends" like Aretha Franklin and Elton John. BF5 is gettin on up there.

Jessica-
Hey, Ethan Embry's mine! :) Nah, I'm kidding, we can share. You remember
him in All I Want For Christmas? He was a little pudgy then, but that's OK.
On a music related note, he plays bass and recently started a band. I think
it's called Southern Comfort or something with the word comfort in it. I
would have e-mailed you this directly, but I felt kinda stupid dedicating an
entire e-mail to that, and I felt some more people might *somehow* benefit
from it.

Hey, I was watching MTV's House Of Style last night, and they played SFTD when
one girl was evidently "showing her personal style." I really don't know what
the girl was doing; it's towards the middle of the show, and they're showing
different people in a white room with both their natural and glamour clothes.
? Weird idea for a show, but I don't know. I was thinking, "was mtv secretly
trying to insult the girl by assuming that since her clothes are so hideous,
she must be a dumped one? Or were they suggesting she just wear a black t-
shirt? Well, MTV's not smart enough for that, so I guess not. The real
reason I was watching the show was because Dan Wilson from Semisonic was going
to be trying on clothes. That was amusing. Anyway, it will re-run tonight, I
think, at 6:30 if you didn't believe me. And I also heard the Brick in The
Real World...Shit, do those people do anything? That is an awesome apartment
they have. :)

OK, semi-nontent:
Someone who writes for the e-zine I run sent in an excellent review for the
BF5 show in Atlanta. I'm just letting you all know that 1) you can still
subscribe and 2) If you ever want to write a concert review for *any* show,
please let me know! Or an album review for that matter. Hey, I have a good
idea--does anyone know enough about Snuzz to write an article on them for Band
Du Jour? If so, that'd be great. Sorry for the long post!

Wait, one more thing: If anyone wants to subscribe to a mailing list I just
started called RockSphere, which is dedicated to the discussion of
alternative/modern rock bands, go here:

Their album is Radiance; you've probably heard the single What I Didn't Know.
Check it out, if you get the chance!

read my review of the show).. It was late at night when i wrote that, and i
just wasn't thinking. Please don't crucify me. Thanks. Take care.

The other day I was in my kitchen eating breakfast and my sister's
alarm went off and she called me from the other end of the house. I
went down there to see what was happening. "One Angry Dwarf" was on
the radio. I was really shocked. I'd never heard anything but "brick"
on the radio. It put me in the best mood all day. I can't wait until
the concert on the 30th July in Brisbane, Australia! Is anyone else
going?

Well, i don't mean to turn this into like, "look at Jason screwing up all over

of course, it is on the s/t. So, please, don't scream at me. Thanks kindly.
