OK. All you BFF-SNZ-piano luvin' fans out there. I have an artist that you'll
probably like. They're a swing band, you may or may not have heard of them,
but thier name is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. They are absolutely amazing, and the
piano in some of thier songs is just great! It seems to me alot of you like
SNZ, another swing band, so why not give BBVD a try? :)

Did anyone else notice how much the background vocals (darren and rob) in the
demo tape version of Underground sound like the Begees. Plus I think that is a
wicked cool version of that song, like the stuff before he says "Bu-bye". I
just don't like. And while I'm babbling, does anyone know the exact release
date of Fear Of Pop?
And please visit my fairly new BF5 site
http://www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/frontrow/3485 I give you a guarantee you
will like it. That's All!!!!!!!!!

OK. I realize it has been months since I have posted, but I have serious
issues with the post to MA 1214 re: 12 Angry Viewers.
Before MTV dicked around with it and made it 12 Angry Record Execs, 12
Angry Spring Break Beach Bunnies, 12 Angry Truckers, 12 Angry Grannies,
etc., 12AV was basically a rare way to see some legit indie stuff on
MTV. Let me remind you that "Bachelorette" by Bjork, "Brown Paper Bag"
by Roni Size, and "Rapper's Delight" by Def Squad (realize that these
three rappers had made hardly a dent on the scene unless you count Erick
Sermon's time with EPMD a few years back), all videos that probably
wouldn't have gotten playing time at all on MTV, won their respective
weeks of 12AV and got their spot in the rotation. To say that 12AV picks
were all fluff is a bit incorrect. I admit that it seemed that way as
the purpose of the show, which was to show videos that wouldn't
ordinarily make it onto the playlist, became muddier and the quality
began to decline.
For a while at the end of 1997 and early 1998, 12AV was one of the best
reasons to watch MTV. There were great videos ("Sexy Boy" by Air, which
I only saw on 120 Minutes once and also on 12AV) that never got play
time that 12AV showed.

oooo tummy hurts...but on a completely unrelated note. I got the
Where's Summer B? UK import and woo hoo it is awesome. Thank you to
my Bestest friend Patrick who picked that up for me out of sheer
buddyness. Also...I think Brick is a fab. song but if I hear it one
more time on the radio I'm going to run screaming into the night.
Sure, I live in the metroplex, and no one would really notice, but
it would be a good release.

meet tavia. stupid, clumsy dinglebell (or whatever)
I taped over (dammit) my live copy of emaline and I feel stupid
sigh
well I had to tell people who'd understand
(so understand! now!)(<= imagine that said in the 'teacher' voice. I
have to add that the 'teacher' voice is an amazing and somehow
inherently evil tool. I managed to make a whole tableful of very very
drunk people at the party last weekend actually focus for about a
minute, by using it. I think I should be careful only to use my newly
acquired powers for good) ha!
(mha ha ha!)
oh yeah and i'm pissed off coz my tape of sessions wont resolve properly
on the tv screen. (grrr) if I wasn't so annoyed I'd find it amusing that
ben's voice sounds quite funny at doublespeed on the tape.
you find this boring? tough.

Hey all!
I have some stuff I wanna give away! I'm happy to send you the UK Song for
the Dumped CD single (with Bad Idea and For All the Pretty People), a copy of
the self-titled songbook, and a bootleg of your choice. "What's the catch?"
you ask. There is a catch, but only a slight one: in return, you must send me
the Where's Summer B.? CD single.
It seems to me that this is kind of a generous offer, but I have been
searching for this single for SO long. (Thirteen2k and Keyserdan1 can
testify, right guys?) :)
So, it's you send me Where's Summer B? CD and I send you SFTD, songbook, and
bootleg. Deal? Cool. Oh yeah, email me, oh magical person who owns the object
of my desire.
Someone please make me happy and accept this offer. After all, you should pity
me because i have to get up at 3:30 in the morning.
And for all of you in the Cleveland Area who receive Cleveland's FOX 8 News in
the Morning show, watch tomorrow (Friday) morning because I'll be on it. (i
hope this message gets sent in time, though probably not)
Love,
Emily
