hey guys. sorry, but I just joined this list so could someone tell me what
"fear of pop" is?
favorite band member: robert sledge, cause he is funny and drunk and wears
cowboy shirts like me. ben gets props though for the gnr shirt on NBP.
also, did anyone out there hear a show on a radio station (I think it was out
of Philadelphia) in later july that ben folds five was on? I came upon it
randomly while driving cross country...they covered "raindrops keep falling on
my head" and "she dont use jelly" and played a bunch of their own songs live
and did an interview with some intollerably-clueless lady host...anyways if
anyone heard this, did they also tape it? I only heard about half of it from
what I could tell and as I got through maryland I lost the signal and missed
the end. :-( Funny though, since our destination that day was none other than
chapel hill.
thanks
molly

this company is awesome with their shipping prices...$2 for up to 2CDs...and
add $4 for rush delivery!! the disc itself was $9.99 but the rare demos in CD
quality make up for it! they even will hold a copy for 7days if you give them
your info and a check number...thats what i did.
does anyone else have this??? i hadnt heard of it until i saw it listed! my
exgirlfriend is gonna be sooooooooo jealous when she finds out!!
always,
JOhn NJ, USA >>
Three things:
#1. Am I the only one who has not heard of this? Why would BFF release those
demos like that? 6 tracks is also a lot for a single.
#2. This link doesn't work.
#3. Isn't it ironic that this guy's name is John and hails from NJ and the AOL
profile for "Badbluerad" is for a John in NJ? Hmm...rip-off? Not trying to
discredit the guy but most mail order companies have their own url...I've
never seen anyone run a legit and reputable on-line music business from an AOL
server.
But hey, that's just me.

Responding to lauren, who thought Folds was a verb, i thought so also at
first, I though it was a poker related title, ie Ben Folds Five, as in cards
when playing a game

'k - I was listening to WAEA for about the umpteenth time, and, while
singing along with "Steven's Last Night In Town," I began to realize
that, "Oooooh keep that shutze!" likely wasn't part of the real lyrics.
Just a thought there. Anyway, anyone know what it is that they're
saying here? It's during that little she-boppin' instrumental bridge
between the chorus and "We were talking 'bout something . . . Seems like
it was funny"; right after the baa(bop!)'s. Uh. Y'know?

Hey guys. Sorry about the lack of substance in this post, but last night
I had the most incredible experience of my life! I saw Ravi Shankur live
in concert in Shreveport. To see the man that has influence and inspired
hundreds of musicians throughout the past four decades was something amazing.
Ok that's all. Sorry for the interuption.
