Maybe some of
you who are on
the BF5 webring
can tell me
what's going
on... I
submitted my
site to
the webring
queue about
three months
ago, and the
instructions
said that I'd
get an email
within two
weeks,
regardless of
if my site had
gotten in or
not, but I
never got one.
I've tried
resubmitting my
site
twice but I get
a message
saying my site
is still in the
queue. I tried
emailing the
webring manager
about it last
week but
haven't gotten
a reply yet, so
does anyone
know if he's
gone on
holidays or
something?
Thanks.

does anyone else not really want Army to be huge?
People are talking
about how successful it could be, and how much
recognition they deserve
and all, and it's true; Army is a really good song
which I could easily
see being huge. But let's not forget the mayhem Brick
brought just over
a year ago... Let's not forget the complaints of sold
out concerts,
etc. I wish BFF the best of luck, but it took them
almost a month to
sell out Irving plaza, giving me and any other real
fans of theirs
plenty of time to get tickets, and that's the way I'd
like it to stay.
:)
sean
i say:
dont be a dick sean. bff doesnt make music for YOU... if you really
liked and respected them you would want to see them huge... "we all
know what happened last year with brick"!?!?!? what kind of shit is
that?!?!?! its too bad it wasnt a BIGGER hit! did the beatles not
play "i wanna hold your hand" because it was popular? hell no... the
fact is that "brick" is a good song and there should be no shame in
having a hit record... your comments were selfish and stupid, and
people like you shouldnt be on this list. suck a honey badger's ass.

Hiya Armchairers,
I saw this ...
> Sound Republic in Leicster Square, London on Wednesday 7th April
and I just had to give it a phone, but they said there was no one
appearing at the sound republic tonight, so I'm really fed up now!!!
But....
Better than that - I got a bright yellow ARMY promo postcard this
morning from Sony to add to my collection of new release postcards of
BFF.
I got the Kate one and the Brick one when they were released!!!
I'm in good mood today!!!!

well, i got the interviews from that new promo thing and i heard the guys
talking about how army was originally part of the hospital song. I think
that would be soooooooo cool, it like in the beatles album abbey road
towards the end where like 4 songs all run into each other. I just think
the guys could write such a cool like ochesrated type thing, i don't know.
If you think i'm crazy you're probably right... but anyways if anyone can
relate give me some feedback.

Alright, i'm gonna give this fucker one more shot. I've decided that since
i have finally got my hands on some logo's i will get the shirts going out.
I'm gonnna make designs, put a fucking quote on the back along with "Magical
Armchair". the front will have the new cd cover and the bands name all on a
black t-shirt. so you can get it back or whatever. That is the best anyone
can do right now, i have no pictures of armchairs and considering the tour
is for the new album. there you go. Give me some mails and tell me "YES,
this is a good idea" or "NO" but if i get too many "NO's" then fuck it. But
if i get enough "YES"'s then i'll be down with it. Later

I'm sure the "real fans" comment is going to generate loads of froth-mouthed
posts, but I want to relay a comment I read from Letters to Cleo's Kay
Hanley. I can't remember it exactly, but she said something along the lines
of, "I want us to be successful, I want to sell a million records, I want
people to hear our music. These people who talk about not wanting to be
successful are telling lies: all it is is they're not successful and they
don't want you to be, either." I think that's a great idea, if not an exact
quote. Sure, I long for the days when you could pretty much be guaranteed a
meeting with the guys, but who are we to hope against the success of th eband
for our own selfish reasons?
And the "real fan" bullshit? Come on. Haven't we been over this a million
times already? If you like BF5, then you're a fan. I mean, am I worng in
thinking it's that simple? I bought S/T the day before it was officially
released, just because the guy at CD Warehouse didn't know what it was. The
kids in my English classes, however, didn't discover the band until I wheeled
a piano into the classroom for a poetry unit introduction last semester,
because they listen almost exclusively to country and never color outside the
lines of the music they've already heard and they already know. But a lot of
them like BF5 now, and they're not vetter or worse fans of the band than me.
Sorry-- I know I've now officially entered the retread zone. I'll shut up now.
Brad

Just a quick question for any of the insiders out there. Does anyone
know if the version of Dr. Pyser on the UK CD single 1 is a studio
version, or another live version? I'm assuming it's going to be a
studio version, because I remember a while back the guys had said
some things about it being on the new album. Since it's not,
hopefully they recorded it and wanted to release it anyway. It's
something I'm really excited to hear. Thanks for any info!
