Is anyone planning on making Microsoft Audio Ben Folds Five Archive? I guess
winamp 2.11 will have support for this file format and having encoding
support for it, they will have half the file space as mp3 and as good souns
quality (Finally, some hard drive space when I convert the mp3's) I guess
they will be even better than VQF's (wich can be found at my site, cheap
plug, i know)

Is it just me, or does anyone else think "Regrets" sounds an awful lot like a
Fear of Pop version of "Army."
"I thought about the things I thought about the...etc..."
Ben sure has done a lot of thinking hasn't he? :)
As the ever-quotable, ever-cool, Leigh at Exit 13 said, some of the songs
sound like they belong on FoP vol. 2...this one is definitely one of those
songs.
Also, as I listen to the album, the first half of the album is a lot better
then the second...
Just my thoughts on it, I'll be reviewing the new album in the State News
(Mich. State's paper) on Tues or Wed. and will post scans on my page.

I bought the most unusual-looking bootleg at a store the other day. It's
called, get this, "Ben Folds Five: Girls, Girls, Girls." You need to see the
cover art for this, it's funny until you realize how incredibly stupid it is.
I posted scans on my web page http://www.msu.edu/~austind1/boots.htm
Take a look, it's worth the laugh.

Has anybody else seen the new ad for the new album? I just saw it on VH1
(right after they played the wrong episode of Before They Were Rock Stars)
and it is more of an ad to buy TUBORM at Target, oh well..

Hey all,

I was watching TV tonight with a couple of friends....it was a commercial
break, so we all started talking. Then, i hear..."Well I thooought about the
army..." and immediately, my head snapped to the TV set and i shushed
everyone down. "Been thinkin a lot today..." Sure enough, it was a
commercial for TUBORM! They played the highlights of the army video in the
background while some woman was like "Ben Folds Five: The NEW Album!
Featuring the new single, Army. Go get it April 27th" bla bla bla (can't
remember everything). And then they showed the album cover and the woman
said "Get the deluxe pack (or something) with a video too!" (Cue in a picture
of the video tape).
SO, BFF has a new commercial. I can't remember which network it was on...we
were flipping back and forth from an Indians game and Comedy Central. Be on
the lookout...it's a nice surprise. :)

Oh yes, maybe this will benefit some of you. For those of you wondering
about were to get the album pack that includes the video as well, there was a
Best Buy logo in the corner of the screen when they were advertising the cd
and video together. So, i'd suggest going to Best Buy if you want the video!

Take care,
Emily

Look I hate to be nagging but could the people using colored backgrounds
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP. Or at least use a light color like yellow or baby
blue. Or if anyone knows how to get my computer to never show colored
backgrounds, please email me. Its driving me crazy and a major headache on
this computer cuz I can barely read the armchair. and that sucks.
Im sorry Im taking up armchair space with something irrelivant to non-aol
users.
thanks,

There are some major updates at the official page at www.benfoldsfive.com
Definitely worht checking out. It my take a while to load at first because
there is a really cool animation and sound clip of army before you actually
enter the page. Make sure you have shockwave flash or these plugins won't
work. Some of the links and videos don't work yet, but hopefully they will
be fixed soon.

Also, the album is definitely on sale on monday - where the darn

If i wonder into the city and find hmv closed, i'm going to be
seriously pissed...

Just a little something...

TUBORM is this week's feature album on Triple J. Luckily Triple J is
the type to play more than Army, I heard Narcolepsy this morning.
I can't wait till Tuesday to get my hands on a copy of the album
myself! So until then, "hit me, uh, thirty..three times!" with some
great tunes guys!
