one of the coolest things about benf5, in my opinion, is the fan base and how
nice all the fans are. at other shows, it sucks, but you can always expect
nice, friendly, kickass people at benf5 shows...we have to admit, personally,
that its pretty lame how much we're all into this band...i mean, we read 2-3
MAs a day...so the fact that there even is a MA is pretty lame on our part,
but its cool and nice, and we get to be into our band with other people who
are into the band. so if youre not into it, dont be a part of it...dont make
everyone else feel dumb.

also, i find it in some strange way reassuring that so many people watch
dawsons creek..another fairly lame, yet strangely satisfying, pastime..

Um...NEWS FLASH!!!!...last year they toured together...and just so you
know...at the hammerstein ballroom show...ben played "ants marching" by
scraping his mic on the piano strings...so there's your collaboration...i
don't think its a good idea...maybe like beck/ben (just ben) for another FOP
type thing...but i do think that BFF and fountains of wayne should tour
together...i know all you NC peeps get to see it...jealously jealously...

I've heard Fair at a local Big Boy, Brick everywhere you can imagine, SFTD in
a college bathroom at the Union (irony, I know), and now...Steven's Last
Night in Town...where? you may ask...good story...
I called up Gateway 2000 portable computers help line (my computer's DVD
drive stopped working) and I was onhold for well over an hour and a half.
After about an hour and 15 the radio went from Marvin Gaye to Steven's Last
Night. It was crazy. I was hoping, as many of you can probably imagine, that
the song would not be cut off by the tech rep. After BFF came some Elton John
song or something. After the song the disc jockey said, "and that was Ben
Folds Five with SLNIT." Nothing special or album promoting, but hey, it's
about time these guys got onto the "onhold scene."

i'm not a fan of DMB myself either....so no, i wouldn't like to see them
collaborate....dave's voice annoys me, and the songs get way too long for my
attention span....esp. live, i mean, just how long can you jam on one open E
chord?

anyway

should be getting my tape of the TLA show #2 soon! i'm excied about

Stephanie - A Dave Matthews/Ben Folds collaboration isn't something I'd
really be looking forward to either, for the same reasons. But whatever
happened to the idea of Ben doing something with Glen Phillips (formerly
of Toad the Wet Sprocket). I would have really liked to see something
come out of that.

And hey, I still get a jolt in the time period between Hospital Song and
Army. It's kind of like being pushed off the bed, or something, because
of the switch in tempo (not a bad thing, however). :)

Of course, I can't listen to TUBORM now because someone has already
borrowed it. I'm supposed to be getting it back this weekend, but I
don't know how likely that is...

and one more thing, kind of bentent: have you ever actually looked
inside the stuff at chic-fil-a? seriously, you'll never want to eat it
again. (or is it supposed to be that color?)

a lot of you watch dawson's creek, i guess, judging from the responses
about magic being played in it. practically everyone in my school
watches the show, it seems - a big group of people from my track team
actually had a dawson's creek party the night after it aired, and
watched it on tape. i just hope that they, ignorant of all music that
is not shoved in their faces (hey, they're my friends, but brandy can't
be your prototype of good music), realize that in that emotional and
pivotal funeral scene, part of the reason they felt so sad was because
of the excellent music in the background. :)

Hey 'chairers,

I think I was a little misunderstood when I said I'd have the version of
Magic sung by Darren on my site as an mp3. Because it was from a charity
benefit album, I've only posted a 1 minute clip (thanks to Dan and Doug for
helping me out) as an mp3. If you want to hear the whole thing, I suggest
you buy the album (called 'The Garden Place - Songs by Our Friends'). It's
included in the discography on my site, and there's a link to buy it from
CD-NOW. I highly recommend it, and it's for a good cause.

Will.

Hey guys-
I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this or anything, but everyone
is talking about a Ben and Dave Matthews project....I forgot where exactly I
saw them, but in Mass.,they opened for Dave Matthews. My friends were
misinformed, and picked me up late so I totally missed the boys.Argh. It went
BF5- first, BECK-second,and DMB the main event. So the ties between them are
sorta there. I don't know how close exactly touring groups get,but ya never
know. Does anyone remember the name of the stadium? At that point,I didn't
really like DMB,so I was there just to see BF5. You can imagine the horror
when we showed late....grrrrr..... I don't know how I'd feel about a Dave
and Ben thing,though...hmmm...I have to think about this.

Hey armyians (whatever..)

Well, I'm VERY excited about the new St. Louis date! I am, of course,
going. Since the American is like 15 minutes from me. So, I am going to that,
along with 2 other friends. Anyone want to meet up, drop me a line. Which is
also great because I am leaving for Florida on June 4th, and would hate to
miss them. The Feb. 14th show last year was awesome. I'm shootin' for front
row, again. *Amy has a secret in getting front row spots at the American..*
But, the only downer is that is my first night of finals. ::sighs:: Oh well.
I'd rather see Ben. :)
And second.. I was in my "the is no purpose to this class" computer
publishing, and every one just brings CDs and wastes time, and I sit next to
this senior Josh Scholl, and low and behold which CD does he bring out,
TUBORM! I was shocked. He's very cool. ;)
Now that I have bored you.. I will see y'all later.

Well,
  yeah-sorry to disappoint you,but Robert does have a girlfriend. I don't

the girls that I was standing next to at the concert got an autograph on her

read her name though. It said something really trite like 'Keep it Real!!!'
or something. I thought that was kinda cute that she signed it,but ya know..
