For all of you that don't know already, the May 24 issue of People Magazine
has a review of our beloved's new album, TUBORM. The review itself is
short--but the reviewer likes it, so yay! The coolest part of the review is
this, and I quote,
" 'Sometimes I get the feeling that I won't be on this planet for very long,'
he sings dolefully on "Don't Change Your Plans.' 'I hope I'm wrong.' Well,
Ben, so do we."
Awww.
Also--check this out--there is a picture that accompanies the review. The
boys are standing in front of the David Letterman show studio, and Ben is
looking mysteriously like Woody Allen.
Awww geez.

Gee Sara your so damn better than everyone else. I guess the people who hang
out with you must be so enlightened.
1. If Adam was on the Armchair I would let him be him and I would just play
in the background.
2. When in the hell did I say that I was ever Homophobic? ...................
Not here, I guess you can be wrong, no wait, Your sara, everything that
comes out of your mouth is pure gold.
3. Well damn, it must be better to be a loser than a bitch who wastes thier
time on petty stuff, yep I stand corrected.
4. Well I will copyright my on face :/ I hope your happy now.
5. Now go on opium and find someone
<<No, I actually thought that you broke into a medical supply office and took
a
lot of prozac myself.
well, yes, that too. :)>>
I think I said that, I don't mind that you use it though, nothing wrong with
that, it is all good to be happy, you know St. John's wart works just as good
as prozac in some cases.
<<real men don't use porn.>>
That line is classic. Actually that would be a good line for a PR company
with the extra line "They do the job themselves" classically beautiful.
Bah humbug.
Goodnight,
George.

I know it's been a day or two, but
WHAT A GIG!
One of the best gigs since Splash club back in 95! Ben and the boys seemed
to be having a great time, and their voices seemed very tight on all the
new songs.
Highlight for me was singing along with a really great group of people over
stage left near Ben's mastery! ESPECIALLY the Ba Ba Ba brass unplugged
section he got us all to do during Army, that was class! (About 4 of us
sang the "bass" part, the rest all sang the main line, wonderful fun!)
Anyway, I now am going through a phase of not wanting to touch the piano,
because what's the point in going for a jog round the block when your
jogging partner is Ben Johnson on crack.
Or something...
Cheers
Darren

Some one wrote the 'allan wrench, duct tape, mic cable' part from "Fanny
Packs" and said that Ben sang that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought
Darren sang that. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't living a lie this
whole time.

I regret to inform the faithful in Seattle that the show scheduled for
June 17 at Paramount Ballroom has had to be cancelled. No reason was
given, but I could speculate that it's because it's getting awfully close
to Frally's due date, and you know how twins usually come early...
Seattle won't be forgotten. The band are promising a stop on the next
tour, and radio support has been great.

Subject: TUBORM newspaper reviews
hello all you bff fans out there. someone mentioned a newspaper review of
TUBORM a couple armchairs ago, and it reminded me of a review that i read in
the pittsburgh post gazette a few weeks ago and forgot to post about. let me
just tell you that he most definitely reminded me of the reason why i learned
not to believe anyone's personal points of view about movies or music,
ESPECIALLY those printed in the ppg. it was the most outrageously rude
article i've ever read in my life. he blatantly insulted ben's solo album,
which, alright, it was different but no one can really say it's terrible just
because they don't like it. and then he went on to say that he "didn't think
it (TUBORM) was terrible" but he pretty much hated every song (especially
"your most valuable possession" and "redneck past") except for "army",
"magic" and "narcolepsy". he said the album starts off well with "narcolepsy"
but "don't change your plans" left much to be desired. and that "hospital
song", which i must say i absolutely love, was no "cigarette". needless to
say, i was extremely angered when i finished with the review. HOWEVER it had
a really cute picture of ben at the top which i cut out and kept...what can i
say. anyways...somebody said that the guy that talks in "your most
valuable possession" is ben's dad...is that true?

I went down to my local music store today at ten in the morning excited because I was
going to get tickets to the Seattle show but when I got there they said that the
tickets do not go on sale today and that there is no reschedualed sale date. WHAT
HAPPENED TO THE SEATTLE SHOW. I went to the home page and they do not have it listed
on their tour page either. Has the band decided not to come to Seattle or what the
heck is going on. If anyone knows about this tell me, hopefully the band will still
be coming here, if not I am really jealous of all you people who are getting to see
them live. All I have to say is all you seattleites out there unite and lets make
sure that Ben doesnt skip the Emerald city.
