I was looking back over the booklet for Whatever and Ever and I noticed that
next to the title for "Kate" was the word "Army" in much smaller letters. Anyone
know what's up with this?

Forget that. Lame. If you have it, share it. Rip it, encode it, and let the
fans have it for free. That's the only way to go.

To Lauren and everybody else on the Armchair,
Really, I don't want to pick a fight or start anything because the armchair
already fights too damn much, but offering to trade a track off a benefit cd
for bootlegs is really low. Think about if there are 25 trades for this one
track/cd. That is 25 cd's worth of money the charities lose out on. It is
just a low thing to do. Any respectful individual would not offer trades
for a track off a bonus CD. If it was a live version or a different
version, that is a different story, but the actual CD version. Simply low.
I think anybody with any respect or dignity should not offer a track from a
BENEFIT CD for bootlegs. Offer something else like bootlegs. If somebody
really wants to hear the song, buy the benefit CD, it is for a couple of
very good causes and its only like 12 bucks. Nothing that will put a big
dent in anybody's pocket. Please be respectful and do not trade for this
track or offer it for other stuff. Just buy the benefit CD and help the
cause.

I know it's probably a bit too premature to ask. But I'll ask anyways as I am
bored and can't stop thinking about the upcoming concert. (i KNOW I'm not the
only one). Is there anyone who is going to the LA concert on June 10th? I
would love to meet the armchairers before the concert. None of my friends who
I'm taking are really huge fans of BFF (<sigh> they don't know any better.) I
would really like to be able to actually talk to someone who understands what
the f**k I'm saying when I mention anything about the band. Plus, it'd be
great to finally come face to face with some of you who've been contributing
to the list for so long. Email me privately if you are going.

Subject: My turn to Complain
There have been numerous problems with this post already - first, I wrote
one awhile ago, but it was one that didn't get posted because of that
problem last week. Then, I went to write it last night, and I somehow
managed to hit my nose on my printer, which caused me no small amount of
pain. I could hardly see straight, let alone write a post. I still don't
know how I managed to hit my nose on my printer. So you were all unable to
hear my musings on BFF for awhile. Happily or unhappily, depending on your
opinion. I guess we'll see exactly how long today's post decides to get.
I'm sure it won't be record breaking or anything.
Anyway, there is sad news in my life. For the first time in a couple of
years, I'm going to miss a Chicago Ben Folds Five show. I know, I know,
some of you don't ever get BFF shows, but I'm spoiled and I get too many
shows in Chicago and it's just not fair but all is fair in love and I love
this band and I'm still going to complain about having to miss the next
show so you can just skip the rest of this paragraph if that bothers you.
I'm going to be in Canada for a fishing trip with my dad. So all of y'all
are going to have to miss my obnoxious wookiee porn self (No, no, that's
not true, that's impossible!). But I know you'll survive without my
presence. Use the force.
Speaking of the force, when I went to see Episode 1 something like two
weeks ago, the theater played Army beforehand. And being an obnoxious
little girlie girl (as has already been established on MA), I decided to
sing along. I could hardly hear it, but I managed to keep up pretty darn
well. Or so I thought. Of course, I did have to change the opening from
the edited to the explicit, but there weren't any little kids around, so it
was okay. Anyway, I really liked the movie for the most part, except for
that Jar Jar Binks. He did not need to be there ruining my experience.
Maybe Lucas will kill him off quickly in Episode 2...wishful thinking. So
those are my quick thoughts on Star Wars for the day.
Oh, I went to NYC this weekend because my brother was playing at Carnegie
Hall (super cool). And outside my hotel window were these posters
advertising Cake and our boys Ben Folds Five. Could I just say that to see
the two of them together would be a truly amazing experience? I'm not the
biggest Cake fan in the world, but I own their albums and listen to them a
great deal. And the one time I saw them live, I was blown away. They are
one of the few bands that I think can even compare to BFF live. Anyway, I
also got to go see Conan while in NYC, and if they rerun Friday's show
(with Damon Wayans and Gabrielle Reese), you can look for me in the front
row behind the keyboardist. I had a standby ticket, but since I went alone
to the show, I got a single seat in the front row. Very cool, especially
since I was (sort of) on national television something like five times.
Oh, and I went to the Carnegie Deli and saw a signed picture of the
original piano rocker in my life, Billy Joel, which I just had to touch,
hoping some of his aura would rub off on me. I don't think it did. As an
added bonus, while I was waiting to get my standby ticket to Conan, I saw
Mario Lopez, aka A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell. Ah, the memories - I'm
so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so...scared. Ah, what is perhaps the most
classic episode of Saved by the Bell. Anyway, I'm rambling now.
Okay, so there really seems to be something else somewhat BFF related I
wanted to share with everyone, and I think it had to do with TUBORM. But
since no one really cares, it doesn't really matter, does it? Besides,
since I go to Northwestern, I am still in school, and finals are starting
for me at three this afternoon (I'm not even outtie until next
week...yuck!) I have a ten page paper to write in 48 hours (starting from
3 PM today), which would be fine except that I'm going to Six Flags
tomorrow. Which means that 48 gets cut down to about 32. I'm not super
worried, but it's not going to be a fun two days here (except for the
amusement park). Anyway, Fleming & John was on my stereo, but then it
ended so now I'm on Liz Phair. I'm thinking something Ben to start out my
paper writing. I do need to eat at some point here, too. Hmm, I don't
know when that's going to happen. Okay, I'll save you from my random
thoughts for the day...Happy June to all of the Armchair, from me.
Sarah (Who really did not need to write that somewhat long post, but at
this point, anything is better than thinking about that gosh darn paper...I
was a Star Trek crew member...okay, I swear I'm ending this now, no more
random quotes thrown into this post for today)

It's not like i was going to copy the track onto a tape and send to
people...i was going to go buy the cd and trade that for bootlegs...some
people don't have access to a record store that carries it....and about the
company loosing money, if anyone's loosing money, it's me
p.s. thanks for all the replys about the music for Narcolepsy
